In April, the Middle East Africa Region (MEA) kicked off the very first regional Diversity & Inclusion Council in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The council is one of the enabling actions to ensure focus and to drive and sustain the MEA D&I journey.
The council meeting was opened by MEA Regional President Saad Abdul-Latif, who explained the role of the council as to "act as an advisory body to the MEA Leadership Team." Magda Nowak, director - PI Organization Capability, shared the PepsiCo International D&I approach. Council Chair and West Asia BUGM Faisal Farid followed, providing an update about MEA progress on the diversity and inclusion journey. The council concluded the day by identifying priorities and focus areas.
