SMART VENTYRE :

Jobstreet 18, Asia’s leading online recruitment company, has revamped its jobsite. The new site offers applications like “ Smart Apply”, “Smart Search” and “Smart Register” that provide easy navigation, apart from communicating with companies that hire directly. This is in line with Jobstreet’s stated objective to offer a truly world-class on-line job search experience.

With smart apply you don’t need a computer to apply. A jobseeker who is registered with jobstreet.com can just type APPLY on their mobile phone followed by the e-mail listed in a newspaper job advertisement or career site of a company and send it to 52622. The SMS service will recognise the mobile number as a registered user of Jobstreet and email their resume from Jobstreet’s database to the company you applied.

In case a company has published a job advertisement and has listed an email recruiter@xyz.com for job responses then a candidate needs to just key in APPLY recruiter@xyz.com on his mobile phone and sms it to 52622. This enables a candidate registered on jobstreet.com to apply for any job featured anywhere anytime confidentially.

SMART SEARCH :

The new and advanced search facilities make it possible to easily select relevant industry and specialisation tabs on the home page for desired results. A user can also save the search results in RSSS formats and get them delivered to the user’s desktop using any popular RSS/newsreaders such as Google Reader, Blog lines, Google News or My Yahoo. Another useful option is the Search Jobs box, which now displays the top 12 industry specialisations and locations based on total jobs in each industry. This is particularly useful for candidates who need to make career decisions and need some industry information on hiring dynamics.

In keeping with the philosophy of Real Companies and Real Jobs, Jobstreet continues to display only corporate jobs on the site to enable candidates to apply and hear from companies directly.

SMART REGISTER:

A smart content extractor is the newest innovation from Jobstreet. This innovation is an intelligent system that allows job seekers to upload their resume on Jobstreet and actually captures key information from the uploaded resume to pre-fill the application form on jobstreet. This helps users to maintain resume formats while reducing the time spent on registering at the site. An accurate LINA alert system – a system to capture relevant system before sending job alerts- assists new users at the sign up stage by accurately capturing their information and enables users to correct discrepancies if any. This results in better matching of jobs with resumes registered on the database. Candidates can expect to be delighted by the high quality matching for jobs by the intelligent system thereby vastly improving the incidence of accurate matching of job alerts.

“Today’s candidates are a smart and evolved group. They are looking for time saving and intelligent processes while looking for job options. We have taken the pain away from the job search process with SMS capability and smart search and smart register capabilities. Candidates can now leverage their mobile phones to apply instantly and hope to get the edge when applying for their dream jobs. Smart capabilities like these help candidates since they no longer need to access their CVs confidentiality at their workplace. In addition, candidates are now able to send their CVs even as they sip their morning tea and browse the newspaper for jobs. Candidates can now truly ‘apply anytime, anywhere’, says Anand Iyer CEO, Jobstreet.Com.

In addition to the above features, the new site has warm and brighter colours for an exciting interface that provides easy navigation besides highlighting companies that are directly hiring. This does away with the need for unnecessary searches, which saves time for job seekers.
