JobStreet.com launches new look for website
Improves quality of career management and job hunting experience for 2.5 million users across Asia
Jun 2004
JobStreet.com announced that it has created a more comprehensive career management and job-hunting experience for its 2.5 million users through the launch of its new site revamp on its primary website www.jobstreet.com and its other country-specific sites, namely in.jobstreet.com, my.jobstreeet.com, sg.jobstreet.com, ph.jobstreet.com
N. Muralidharan, MD of JobStreet India says: “We have always focused on developing creative innovations to deliver on our mission of improving people's lives through a better career. As the leading online destination for jobseekers across Asia, we are in a unique position to redefine the way people search for jobs and manage their career online. For example, we have many leading-edge functionalities like application status information, application statistics (where you can view jobs others like you have applied for, and check the educational qualifications and salary of other applicants of the same position) etc.”
“We believe that this revamp is a great strategic initiative that strengthens the JobStreet.com brand and further humanizes the e-recruitment experience for our users,” he adds.
“Before the site revamp, our functionality and features were already top-notch, but due to various elements added onto the pages over a period of time, the importance of certain items to users had diminished. Hence we based the new design prototypes on extensive user studies that we conducted with our 2.5 million JobStreet.com members across Asia. The focus of the revamp was to make all the current and new features of JobStreet.com more accessible and transparent to our users. The site is based on an enhanced-user-intuitive design and sports a professional Graphic User Interface (GUI). We aimed for seamless navigation between the popular areas of the site like MyJobStreet, where users store their online resume and manage their applications and Career Resources where they can look up the best and latest articles and tips on job hunting and managing their career. The user registration has been tremendously simplified as well.
“Within the next few weeks and months, JobStreet.com users can expect and continue to see many other improvements to the JobStreet.com career management technology” Muralidharan adds.
